what even is sl?
a virtual world launched in 2003 made by linden labs. 99% of its contents are made by users, and there is no objective. it is a complete sandbox ! however, haha, very pay to play as the currency can only be bought with real world money. i know little about these worlds but it is like gmod or vrchat which i havent tried yet. it is a fancy chatroom where you can build your own avatar, home/world, with thousands of creations you can obtain or create to fully make your own world/experience. learn more here ignore all the gross humans here i only care about the furs and the ugliest primitive ones possible.

why play?
cant put it into human words but for me it is a spiritual thing. like a religious thing. for others though most likely the huge amt of customization and ability to import your own models and make cities/Homesetc and socialization. i find the older look of it and the anachromatic nature of the new and the old really charmiing so it quickly became a part of my soul, tho ofvcas mentioned above with the pay aspect its not fur everyon1. ofc u can be f2p forever but LL has so many things cost linden dollars -,- whihc is the currency ehehhehe............................................................................................................. so its always up 2 u. theres also lots of little niche communities or sl exclus communities here ofc which i find extremely cute and the decades sl's been around means theres tons of oldheads and tradition and ingame jargon and its own coding lang and thousand page wikipedia page and outdated blender tutorials that'll make you scream and modern and old which i find really endearing. + asalways, its your second lifeu can really take whatever path u want here
